Camden Music Trust was started by a group of friends who cared about the provision of music for children in the borough. Their vision was of a charity that could help all children in Camden benefit from music as a formative experience, regardless of parents’ ability to pay. The Friends of Camden Music Service was conceived in 2001 and registered as a charity in 2008.
The Board of Trustees bring together a comprehensive range of experience and skills:
Esther Caplin (Chair), Selina Tang (Treasurer), Ian Baker (Charity Secretary), Sarah Allen,
Paul Keene, David Lindsell, Kam Perera, Imogen Sharp, Dominic Tinley.
Camden Music Trust is very grateful to the amazing generosity of our existing supporters.

CAMDEN MUSIC SERVICE
The Camden Music Service provides high quality musical opportunities for over 5,000 Camden school children every year, working with 40 Camden primary and secondary schools and 150 music tutors. Camden Music Service schedules over 2,700 music lessons and runs 40 holiday and weekend ensembles, and stages a bi-annual concert at the Royal Albert Hall involving over 1,800 Camden school children.
Their vision of diversity and inclusivity and focus on making musical tuition more affordable for lower income families has ensured many children have realised their musical potential.
